About THE TUNNEL

THE TUNNEL is a music + art collaboration between Patrick Crawford and Jeff Wagner, ex-midwesterner alumni of various noisy bands (4192, White Gold, Jumpknuckle, Sharking Teeth) and noisy theater (Circus Proboscis). They live in the San Francisco Bay Area, a fine home base from which to conduct their visceral explorations of unearthly spaces...NEW 2010: announcing our new bass/organist: Sam Black!

THE TUNNEL's skeletal sounds inhabit a blackened, mythical vision of the Northern California coast - something like the traditional American West, but more damp. Like Denis Johnson's derelict-visionary novel ALREADY DEAD, or Neil Young's ZUMA, if they were populated with snake oil salesmen, railway ghosts, and feral fatales. "CARVER BROTHERS LULLABY" CD released 2009. New LP coming summer 2010.
